Saint Rosalia Palermo Cathedral Black And White Photography Print
PLEASE NOTE: All sizes in inches
Saint Rosalia is the patron saint of Sicily's Palermo. There are several statues of her outside the city's cathedral; this one shows her holding a cross and a bible and wearing a flower crown. Saint Rosalia is associated with victims of plague (legend has it, she appeared before a man in 1625 and told him if the people of Palermo walked in procession while carrying her relics the "evil fever" would disappear) and the citizens of Palermo prayed to her in 2020 begging her to rid the city of coronavirus.
Captured in October 2022.
